MY FAVORITE NUDES
12:30 AM
Now that spring has arrived, I feel it's time for me to put away my dark berry and brown lipsticks for something lighter and fresher. As a brown girl, sometimes I have a little difficulty finding nude lipsticks that work for my skin-tone and that ... well actually look nude. After years of trial and error, and many, many lipstick tubes, I finally found some shades that work for me. I also found the trick to blending and making nude shades look natural is a brown lip pencil.
Let's start off with my all time favorite:
NYX Butter Gloss in Praline:
This is a color that I believe probably looks great on everyone, and with all the matte lipsticks that I wear during the fall and winter, this gloss is a nice refreshing change for spring. I love this gloss so much and I've currently been wearing everyday, alone and on top of one of my other nude lipsticks!
Revlon Lipstick in Rose Velvet:
This lipstick is actually one of my favorite lipsticks from fall that carried over into spring. On certain skin tones, this really wouldn't qualify as a nude and may be a dark brown, but it blends perfectly with my complexion and makes it seem like I'm not wearing any lip product at all! Perfect for those "no make-up" make-days looks!
NYX Matte Lipstick in Maison:
This lipstick also carried over from fall, instead of a pinky nude, it's more of a brownish nude, but I love it so much and I think it can work all year long! And who says all dark matte lipsticks must go into hiding when the flowers bloom?
Make Up For Ever Rogue Artist Lipstick in Natural:

Revlon Lipstick in Rose Velvet:
When I first bought this color and tried in on at home my first reaction was "oh god!' in a bad way... I thought it completely washed me out, but after experimenting and pairing it with a brown lip liner, I love it as one of my spring staples!
Model Co Party Proof Liptick in Kitty:
I actually received this lipstick in a Birchbox last year and was so excited because I never had the courage to try a lipstick shade so light, but I love to pair it with a smokey eye or simply when I want to look light and fresh!
Revlon Lipstick in Mink:

Nars Cosmetics Satin Lipstick in Rikugien
I received this little sample as a Sephora Beauty Insider birthday gift. Luckily it has lasted me a while, but trust me when it runs out, I'll be investing in the full-size! This is not only an awesome nude lipstick, but it's so nice to swipe on for any everyday look!
Make Up For Ever Rogue Artist Lipstick in Natural:
I also received this as a sample from Sephora and like the name states, it is truly natural. I love wearing this one my lazing days because it literally looks like I have nothing on, but somehow it looks but than my natural lips (hahaha!)
Revlon Lip Balm in Adore:
This last one isn't really a nude, but it's so sheer I had to include it. It gives your lips that sheer swipe of pink so you don't look like death (lol). Plus it's a balm, so gives your lips some awesome moisture!
I hope this post was helpful, I know finding nudes that don't make up look ghastly can be difficult and I believe every girl should have at least one nude lipstick that gives that glam "au-naturale" look!
